サウンド・ライブ・トーキョー・フリンジ参加プログラム

「まだ巡りあった事のない新しい音楽に出会いたい！」をキーワードに今までの活動キャリア、音楽ジャンルは問わず、全国各地から出演アーティストを募集。エクスペリメンタル・ミュージック／サウンド・アートの代表的なアーティストと肩を並べ演奏／作品を披露する機会を設けます。時代を切り開き続ける音楽家達と未だ見ぬ才能を秘めた新人達の表現が交差し、躍動する未知の一夜が遂に実現！ この日「東京都初耳区」は新しい未来へと続く音楽の解放区として誕生します。

モノlith
2012年7月に川口市立アートギャラリー・アトリアで行なった「海のライン」の制作を機に結成された。たむらひろし（tamuranmusic）と山田ビヨンドの二人組。表裏一体、薄皮の一枚といった、何かを隔てている、その一枚を表現する為のサウンドアートプロジェクトとして「NEWBGM」をコンセプトとしている。
鈴木昭男
1941年生まれ、関西在住。サウンド・アートの第一人者として幅広く認知され、国際的な活動を続ける「音と場の探求者」。1970年にエコー楽器アナラポス創作。1988年には子午線上の京都府網野町で『日向ぼっこの空間』を発表。1日自然の音に耳をすますという行為で話題になる。ドクメンタ8、ドナウエッシンゲン現代音楽祭、ザールブリュッケン市美術館、大英博物館、パリ・ザツキン美術館などヨーロッパを中心に世界の主要な美術展や音楽祭に招聘されている。「聴く」ことを主体とする欲求から発想された活動、作品の形態は一貫した姿勢であり、多くの分野の芸術家から注目されている。
イチオン
京都でオルタナジャンクバンドTORICOでG,Vo,Sax,Electronicsを担当していたアライシアキラが、2008年のバンド活動停止後ソロワークとしてイチオンを始動。自作楽器や環境音を中心に取り入れた、電子的な実験音楽を開始。2011年京都のレーベルshrine.jpからファースト・アルバム『Hi [拝]』をリリース。その後、vocalにキラが加入。
A.N.R.i.（アンリ）
2012年ライブ共演をきっかけとし結成。主にエレクトロ・アコースティックの分野に於いて活動するYuki Ohtsukaによるエレクトロニカ／ビート・ミュージックのソロ・プロジェクト「Route09」と、精力的に音源やソフトウェアのリリースを続ける一方、プログラミング・アート系団体synkを主宰する「ima」によるユニット。両者の放つノイズやビートが解体と再構築を繰り返し、また相互に作用し続ける新たな音場を作り上げる。
電子海面
電子海面は中山信彦と深澤秀行が中心となって2010年に結成し、2011年にエンジニア永井一が参加。モジュラーシンセによるパフォーマンスを行う電子音楽ユニット。モジュラーシンセという形態に着目しシンセサイザー本来の持つダイナミックかつ自由奔放な可能性を解放し新しい音楽表現を模索。ライブの形態はソロやデュオであったり手探だが、常に即興性を心がける。2013年、アニメーション『惡の華』劇伴サウンドトラックに参加し評価を得る。
灰野敬二
1952年千葉県市川市生まれ。日本におけるアヴァンギャルドなミュージックシーンにおいて先駆者的な存在。主に扱う楽器はヴォーカル、ギター、ドラム、パーカッション、ハーディ・ガーディなど。民族楽器を含め100種類にも及ぶ多種多様な楽器を所持しているが、独自の演奏方法を編み出している場合が多く、一般的なスタイルで演奏することは稀である。1970年代より活動を続け、ロック、サイケデリック、ノイズミュージック、フリージャズ、フリーミュージック、全てのボーダーを超えて紡がれる魂の言葉、プリミティヴな即興性を持つ演奏は、ソニック・ユースのサーストン・ムーアをはじめとして、世界的にも数多くの信奉者を生んでいる。

Eager to discover new music that we have never experienced, we have invited applications from artists across Japan for this show, regardless of their careers and genres. They perform together with leading artists in the fields of experimental music and sound art — expressions by experienced artists who have long been renewing music and emerging artists whose potential involves something unprecedented finally encounter on this stage! “New Sound Sanctuary” is materialized this night as a liberated area of music that leads to new future.

monolith
A duo formed by Hiroshi Tamura (tamuranmusic) and Beyond Yamada following a project “Umi no Line” (The Line of the Sea) held at ATLIA, an art gallery of Kawaguchi City. With “NEWBGM” as their concept for sound art projects, they focus on a thin plane that divides the front and back sides or barely protects the surface of things.
Akio Suzuki
Born in 1941 and based in the Kansai area. “Explorer of sound and space,” he is internationally acknowledged as one of the leading sound artists. Created an echo instrument called “analapos” in 1970. Constructed Hinatabokko no kukan (Space in the Sun) in Amino-cho in Kyoto, a town on the standard meridian of Japan, in 1988, where he listened to the sounds of nature for a whole day. He has been invited to major exhibitions and music festivals including documenta 8, Donaueschinger Musiktage, Stadtgalerie Saarbrücken, The British Museum and The Musée Zadkine in Paris. His activities and works that are inspired by the will to “listen” and exhibit his consistent attitude have been drawing the attention of artists from diverse backgrounds.
ichion
Akira Araishi, the guitarist, vocalist, saxophonist and electronics player of an alternative junk band TORICO based in Kyoto, launched this solo project after the band suspended its activity in 2008. Creates electronic and experimental music employing self-made instruments and environmental sounds. Released the first album Hi from a label in Kyoto shrine.jp in 2011, and after that a vocalist Kira joined.
A.N.R.i.
A unit formed by a solo electronica / beat music project “Route09” of Yuki Ohtsuka, who works mainly in the field of electro-acoustic music and “ima” that organizes a programing art group “synk” while actively releasing tracks and software. They build a new sound field where noises and beats that they create keep deconstructing, reconstructing and interacting.
denshi kaimen
An electronic music unit that employs modular synthesizers for its performances, formed by Nobuhiko Nakayama and Hideyuki Fukazawa in 2010. An engineer Hajime Nagai joined in 2011. Explores new musical vocabularies by liberating the dynamic and unrestrained possibility that synthesizers intrinsically have. They perform sometimes solo, sometimes duo, but always improvisation is in their core. They took part in the soundtrack of an animation film Flowers of Evil (2013), which was well received.
Keiji Haino
Born in Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture, in 1952. A pioneer in the Japanese avant-garde music scene. Plays the vocals, guitar, drums, percussions, hurdy gurdy and more than 100 instruments including ethnic ones, having established his own style and techniques and rarely employing conventional playing modes. Active since the 1970s, the inspirational words and primitive improvisation in his music that is beyond all the boundaries of rock, psychedelic, noise music, free jazz or free music has been admired by Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth) and a number of listeners around the world.
