グループ名は旧約聖書イザヤ書の「分捕り物は速やかに、戦利品は急いで」などと訳されているフレーズから。演奏機会ごとに各地に点在するメンバーが集まり、リハーサルなしのパフォーマンスを行なう。ギターやヴォーカルなどをリズム・セクションが支えるというロックバンドの「ピラミッド型」の編成を批判的に解体し、ロックには滅多に使われないマイナー楽器を多く含む逆ピラミッド型の編成を、その都度数人から数十人規模で実現。数百曲のレパートリーは美しいメロディと開放的かつ堅固な構造を持ち、多くがアマチュアであるメンバーが生み出すミストーンによっても全く損なわれることなく、むしろ豊かさと複雑さを増す。
音楽家、陶芸家。マヘル・シャラル・ハシュ・バズを招集。今回ティム・エッチェルスによる展示／コンサート『ウォール・オブ・サウンド』の音楽監督も担当する。
The name of the group comes from a phrase in the Book of Isaiah that translates as “quick spoil speedy booty.” Members that live in various places get together for each performance, and they play without rehearsing. Critically dismantling the hierarchy “pyramid” of a rock band, where the rhythm section supports the guitar or vocals, their reverse-pyramid formation comprising sometimes a few and sometimes dozens of members involve a lot of marginal instruments that are scarcely used in rock. Hundereds of repertoires of theirs have beautiful melodies as well as open and strong structures, and mistakes created by the largely amateur members do not spoil the tunes at all but make them even richer and even more complex.
